Born
in Virginia, I've
come back to my roots after five years of wandering up and down the
East Coast. From being a barista to editing and writing
commercials for television to being a middle school teacher, there's
nothing I'm not
willing to try. Including going to military school, hiking
600 miles of the Appalchian Trail, and playing in the mud with my
students! A graduate of Greensboro College, I recieved the Excellence in English award for my fiction and poetry contributions to the literary magazine as well as my non-fiction contributions to the college paper. In 2007 I graduated from Long Ridge Writers Group's Breaking Into Print class. Now, between teaching high schoolers, writing, hiking, kayaking, walking, scrapbooking, basket-making, and having fun with my husband and one year old son, I continue to work on my craft. I am currently hard at work on Made for Walking, and a YA novel, Gemma Up-Over, as well as some short stories and non-fiction pieces. In my other-other free time, I design webpages! |
